Here is another great article from our weekly guest blogger, Anastasiya Day! Enjoy!
How long should my articles be?
How many times per week should I publish my articles?
What should I concentrate on when writing?
Have you been asking these questions lately? It is always going to be different for business owners and entrepreneurs; however, today I want to share with you my tips on writing posts, which will help you not only to pre-schedule your posts but also to make your articles more readable and interesting to your readers.
#1 ~ Consistency
I know that some days we don’t feel like writing or we don’t have any ideas what to write about or simply we are too busy. But always remember consistency is the key. When you start writing try to blog every week and keep it up. Stick to one – ideally two articles a week and do it every single week. Don’t write 1 post one week, 3 posts another week etc then miss a week out. I would suggest start with one post per week and keep writing every week. Planning ahead always helps.
#2 ~ The length of your posts
A lot of people are still not too sure what the ideal length of their articles should be. I would say that the length of your articles should be around 400- 600 words. However you also need to ensure that your articles are keyword rich. So let’s say if you are writing on Virtual Assistants – make sure that you use several times “Virtual Assistants” throughout your article! The main point with your article is to engage your audience, so they could not only enjoy reading your post but also can benefit from the information within your post and could use it in the future.
#3 ~ Add Pictures/Photos/Videos
When you write an article make sure that it is readable and appealing to your readers. When I write my articles I use size14 and my font is Veranda. I would also suggest to add images to your blog. It makes the article easier to read, but you could also add audio and video to your posts, so that your readers could get the information in different formats.
I think it’s better to write articles when you feel inspired, but this is not always the case. Plan ahead and try to pre-schedule your posts. You can create a to do list and if you would like to be more organized, you could pre schedule posts to your diary or an online calendar – By scheduling the posts that will help you to stay consistent with writing your posts.
Do you struggle writing your blogs? How often do you write articles?
