Ultimate Blog Challenge – COMPLETED

Today is August 31st and the LAST day of the Ultimate Blog Challenge! WOOHOO!  31 posts in 31 days!  I am so proud of myself.   I would like to express a HUGE THANK YOU to both Michele Scism and Michelle Shaeffer for organizing this event and providing us with a community to come together to learn more about each others businesses, as well as fostering an environment for joint ventures!

One of the biggest challenges I face when working with my clients is getting them to understand the importance of blogging.  If you have an online business and you are not blogging, you are potentially losing out on free advertising, new clients and tons of sales for products and services you might have.  What most do not realize is blogging is your way of getting your personal views on your industry out into the world.  Its a way of increasing visibility about your services, your products and your brand!  Creating and scheduling (the key!) 3-5 blog posts per week is critical to your search engine rankings, as well as to your visibility across social media marketing channels like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube.  Linking your blog posts with all helps to generate interest in your site, your brand – you will have more friend requests on Facebook, more followers on Twitter, etc.  The biggest key is scheduling your posts and also automating this process – your social media marketing shouldn’t be taking you 3-4 hours per day!  There are lots of applications available that will help you to automate this process and keeping it simple is key for the new entrepreneur.
